Here we go YO...gurt!

Apparently we are not going to be graced by a PINKBERRY in San Diego until January 2008. It's location will be in the new Hard Rock Hotel on Fifth & K. Until then here's some other great options for the new Yogurt Craze.

I recently went into Yog-art and was excited to find all the different choices of toppings I could choose from. Cereal toppings such as Captain Crunch to fresh cut mango & strawberries.
My ultimate topping choice is MOCHI!

They also have smoothies, boba and even spring rolls. According to one of the owners, Hannah Pham, Yog-art will be adding coffee to their menu very soon.

Try the samples....TARO yogurt is a local favorite.

Dolci Mango - Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach has a yummy yogurt spot to satify that craving. They too have fresh fruit and cereal toppings to pour over your choice of Plain or green tea flavored yogurt. Certain days they offer cappucino, mango and sometimes peanut butter flavored yogurt.

T had the half (which is really HUGE) Mixed Green Salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

Time to get raw. This spacious cafe serves up delicious raw food. Everything is at least vegetarian, with most items being vegan. Nothing is cooked over 95 degrees which ensures that the nutrients won't be cooked away. There's also reading material at every table for your enjoyment.

Cilantro has four locations (check their website for more details). T went to the Chula Vista location which is conveniently located across the street from the gym. =D

A cool place to show-off to your friends how eco-friendly and healthy you are. ;D

Me had her favorite, the Tuna Sprouter (tuna salad, mayo, melted swiss cheese & sprouts) for $5.99

T enjoyed the Chedder Cheese & Tomato grilled panini on Pita bread for $5.99 as well. Also purchased was a thirst quenching iced soy latte. Perfect to sip as you gaze out onto Ocean Beach.

Me & T split a delicious Fruit Band (strawberries, kiwi, & pineapple on a thin layer of sponge cake and tart crust dipped in chocolate).

Wraps, wraps, and more wraps. Healthy, tasty, and huge! Located in the College area, this charming Cafe serves up delicious food with a smile.


T had the Sweet Southern French Wrap (without the chicken) for $6.49 and a limeade for $1.25 (with one free refill).


Me had the Athenian Wrap for $6.49 and a limeade for $1.25.


Our guest taster had the mammoth Grand B Wrap for a bargain price of $4.99 along with the delicious limeade for $1.25.

Don't want to wait an hour and a half for your pizza to be delivered? Looking for a late night hangout with cheap and yummy food? Woodstock's Pizza is for you.

Me & T split an 8" Pesto Primavera pizza on wheat dough. The pizza is made to order right in front of you. The veggies were fresh and it was nice to have a "healthy" option for the pizza dough. Also sampled: pepperoni.

After 10pm bonuses: Buy one pizza (any size) get a second pizza FREE (no coupon needed) & pizza slices are $1.86 + tax. They're open until 1am Thursday through Saturday (otherwise they're open until midnight).

Overall it's a nice option for late night food/hangout.

A charming restaurant with great atmosphere and a nice view of University Heights, if you sit in the covered patio like we did. The wait staff was very friendly and left you alone to linger. A perfect place to eat on a sunny day, or any day in fact.

Liked the atmosphere at the Sunset Cliff's location. Perfect for large parties.

Feeling healthy? Naked Cafe has a ton of food to choose from. Vegetarian Heaven! Don't worry there is plenty of meat to also choose from...don't freak out.
Me & T had the Soy Chorizo & Avocado Burritos Served with black beans, tomatoes, green onions, cheese, fresh salsa and spinach tortillas for 8.5.
Plenty of food for the both of us to share. I also had a cup of their soup of the day and T ordered a the Naked Salad --Baby salad greens, tomatoes and parmesan cheese with fresh bread for 6.5.
Topped the menu off with Frenched pressed coffee.
